About Us
About the Company
CNC's owner, Chris, took up woodworking projects in 2017, not as a business, but simply because he enjoyed working with his hands. He grew up around sawdust and lumber, so spending time in the shop felt familiar and comfortable from day one. What began as evenings and weekends working on customer orders gradually grew into something more. As his skills developed and interest in his work increased, those early projects became the foundation for what would later become CNC Garden Box Company.
He began making garden boxes, and sold them locally. The demand kept growing each year, and Chris kept improving his designs. What began as a spare-time project slowly turned into a full business that now provides gardeners across Canada with reliable, long-lasting planters.
How We Build
Every planter is designed to be sturdy, practical and made from materials that actually hold up. Quality and customer satisfaction guide every part of the building process.
What Makes Our Boxes Different
Garden boxes are everywhere, but the details matter. We use dimensional lumber paired with corrugated metal for strength and style. They come in colour options that look good next to your home and they’re created with durability in mind. Assembly is straightforward and doesn’t require a workshop full of tools. They’re built to be used season after season.
See the Difference
We use dimensional lumber for our boxes—thicker, stronger, and longer-lasting than alternative boxes on the market.
Our Mission
Our goal is to offer Canadians a planter they can trust and enjoy for many years. We want gardening to feel simpler and more rewarding, whether you are planting your first garden or expanding a well-loved one. Every box is built here in Manitoba and shipped with care to homes across the country.
A Personal Note
CNC Garden Box Company is hands-on. When you reach out with a question, it’s Chris on the other end. When a new design is created, it starts as an idea in the shop. Each box is hand-build and assembled by us.
